Merry Xmas From The Jackal

I only have three mixes by The Jackal that celebrate Xmas, and I posted one last year so there will be one for next year.

Again no track list so hopefully their is some surprises for you.

I have four unpublished mixes by The Jackal featuring the talent of Mr. Barry White, I'm hoping I get the time soon to remaster them for you.

Enjoy and please leave some positive comments.

Araxis - Space Ranger 1982/2022 Remaster

The Araxis from 1978 is the same as the Araxis in 1982?, well no it appears not.

Araxis from 1978 is a French Production, while the 1982 gets it's origins from what little information I can find in Germany.

The Remix by Peter Frost is the Canadian connection, as this record was never released anywhere else in the world.

Jackal's In Car Mix 001 (Remastered 2022) FLAC

I have 4 Mixes by The Jackal which he sent me in 2011 for me to play in my car. There was originally 5, but the DVD he sent me was corrupted so I only managed to get 4 of them off.

I have no track listing for this mix, you will just have to play it and enjoy what you hear.

I have tried to remaster the sound from the original files he sent me, unfortunately they are only as good as the source material.

It is now 10 years since the Jackal passed away, and not a day goes by that we don't miss his sense of humour, his wit and of course his great mixes.

Patrick Norman - Sweet Sweet Lady (1978) LP in WAV

On my recent holiday I went into a local charity shop and had a look through the vinyl, among all the usual dross was this 1978 LP by Patrick Norman.

I had a quick look at it and thought it was worth buying for £2. So always have a look in charity stores you never know what you might unearth.

Geoff Love's Big Disco Sound ‎– Close Encounters Of The Third Kind And Other Disco Galactic Themes (1978) FLAC

I found this album in a local charity store for £1 (You can do the conversions) so it is not in the best condition.
I have removed as many of the nasty stuff as I can so not to destroy the music.
Hopefully you will find it as much fun as I did.

Salsoul Orchestra - Christmas Time 1981 UK 7 Inch Single FLAC

Considering the Album was originally released in 1976, here in the UK had to wait until 1981 to get the edited version of 'Christmas Medley'

For some bizarre reason it was now called 'Christmas Time' which was a track on the original album, but this is not that track.

If you would like me to upload the original album then leave a comment and I will do my best to accommodate you.

VA - Short & Sweet 5

Another amazing collection of tunes that were far too short and need extending.

Zulema - Z-Licious UK LP 1979 in WAV 16/44 Plus Bonus Tracks (Freshly ripped)

I originally ripped this album back in 2015 and it still sounds pretty amazing to me, but I have re-ripped the UK only 12 inch version of 'You've Got Something For Me' which has only ever appeared on this 12 inch single. Also I did not have the 12 inch version of 'Higher Plane' but I have since bought that with 'Change' as the A side. 'Higher Plane' has only ever appeared on the French (The one I have) and the Brazilian 12 inch, I have no idea why but it is a pretty rare and amazing track.

This is a compilation I posted on my Private Members Only  blog in 2014, and because of the shortness of the tracks this is a two part compilation. Volume 3 will be next month.
All the tracks on this compilation are 7 Inch single versions that never had a 12 Inch version created for it, which is a shame as many finish much too early.
