VA - Short & Sweet 5

Another amazing collection of tunes that were far too short and need extending.

I've got some serious listening to do this week with Volume 4 and this, Volume 5! The first three volumes have been playing constantly on my headphones and I've no doubt the same will be true of Volume 4 & 5!

It's things like this that keep my faith in the goodness of people and the generosity of spirit, despite all the insanity around us!

Just to add to my previous comment - the standout tracks that were new to me are the Calypso soaked Arthur Adams 'Reggae Disco' track, Bileo's You Can Win (I imagine that track was popular at the 'Modern' Soul clubs in the late 70's - such an uplifting track), Cesar 830's See Saw Affair is another great mid-70s soul/disco crossover affair that is completely new to me.
Roget Hatcher's 'My Thang' is killer funk and I love the Boogie-Funk-Rap of Don Blackman's 'You Ain't Hip' from 1982.
I'm a huge fan of Michael Cretu's 1979 track 'Flying to Heaven' (if anyone has a lossless rip they could share that would be great) but for some reason I'd never come across 'Shadows Over My Head' from the year before - that was the stand out discovery for me - I love those slow cosmic disco-rock tunes like the Cretu tracks and Michael Wynn's Black Night or the John Forde singles - they never seem to date.

Anyway, just wanted to thank you again and let you know I've discovered some great new tracks thanks to your knowledge and generosity.
