Kathy Barnes started her singing career in 1975 with a few singles for the MGM label before signing for Republic Records in 1976. She cut her first LP in 1976 called Someday Soon and followed this up in 1977 with an LP called Kathy Barnes Sings Gene Autry.
In 1978 she goes Disco, which was the fashion at the time with an LP called Body Talkin' which spawned three singles, all featured here.
In 1979 she did a one off single for Republic Records called Fun & Games, not sure if there was to be a second LP but it never materialised.
In 1981 she went back to her country roots with a single released on Handshake records called In The Beat Of A Heart, this was as far as I can tell the end of Kathy Barnes's musical journey.
Next time's featured artist will be Caroline Bernier.
